Space Elevator Sdn Bhd

The following Terms & Conditions govern all quotations, sales, installations, and services provided by Space Elevator Sdn Bhd (“the Company”). By proceeding with any purchase or service, the Customer agrees to the terms outlined below.

1. Payment Terms

We do not accept cash payments in any form.

 

All payments must be made via official bank transfer or other approved electronic payment methods as specified in the Company’s quotation or invoice.

 

Customers are required to provide proof of payment upon successful transaction. A payment acknowledgement and receipt will be issued after verification.

2. Electrical Requirements

To ensure optimal lift performance, the Customer must provide a stable power supply with the following specifications:

 

  • Single Phase 230V
  • 50/60 Hz
  • Minimum 32 Amp supply
  • Dedicated circuit breaker

 

Failure to meet these requirements may affect installation timelines and system performance.

3. Civil & Structural Works

Customers are responsible for arranging and completing all necessary civil works prior to installation. This includes, but is not limited to:

 

  • Structural modifications
  • Shaft preparation
  • Floor openings
  • Load-bearing support (if required)

 

The Company shall not be liable for delays or additional costs arising from incomplete or inadequate site preparation.

4. Installation Outside Standard Hours

Installation requests outside standard working hours may be accommodated subject to:

 

  • Team availability
  • Additional service charges

 

Details will be confirmed prior to scheduling.

5. Warranty Coverage

Space Elevator provides the following warranty coverage:

 

  • 1-Year Motor Warranty
  • 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty against rusting
  • 1-Year Service Warranty

 

Warranty validity is strictly subject to regular servicing conducted by authorised Space Elevator technicians. Failure to maintain scheduled servicing may void warranty coverage. The warranty does not cover misuse, negligence, unauthorised modification, external damage, or force majeure events.

6. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for delays or additional costs arising from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, shipping delays, supply chain disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

If such conditions extend beyond sixty (60) days, the Customer may elect to terminate the Works without further obligation, subject to reconciliation of completed work and incurred costs.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

All agreements are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from the contract shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.

8. Entire Agreement

Any representations, warranties, or commitments not expressly stated in the official contract or quotation shall not be considered legally binding.

9. Cancellation Policy

To balance operational efficiency and customer flexibility, the following cancellation terms apply:

 

  • Free cancellation with full refund within 24 hours of quotation acceptance.
  • Cancellation after 24 hours but before production begins: 25% of total contract value or lift cost (whichever is higher) will be retained.
  • Once production has commenced: 60% of total contract value or lift cost (whichever is higher) will be retained.
  • If prepared for dispatch: 85% of total contract value or lift cost (whichever is higher) will be retained.
  • Upon completion of delivery: 100% of total contract value shall be chargeable.

10. Warehouse & Logistics Charges

If the Customer requests storage of the lift system after arrival at the seaport, all related costs including transportation, loading, unloading, storage, handling, and associated logistics shall be borne solely by the Customer.

11. Third-Party Contractors Disclaimer

To facilitate installation, the Company may provide contact details of local civil or electrical contractors for site preparation works.

 

These contractors operate independently and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Space Elevator Sdn Bhd. The Company does not supervise, endorse, or assume liability for the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of their services.

 

Customers engage third-party contractors at their own discretion and are advised to conduct proper due diligence prior to appointment.
